This may be a little odd to have on a site that’s all about prepping. However my wife preps with me as well on occasion and I like to make sure she can maintain her femininity and comfort during an event or disaster.
On this page I’ll have resources you can share with your wives and other female family members. Because behind every happy man, is a happy woman!
Women’s needs are different…This is a fact!
Physical Preparedness
It’s very easy to misjudge a woman’s physical ability. I wouldn’t want to get into a physical confrontation with my wife!
However women are are a physical disadvantage when compared to men overall. But there are a lot of things that women can do to tip the scale to their favor. My biggest recommendation is self-defense training for women. These classes teach special techniques to give women the advantage.
Firearms training is also a must. Women are naturally better shooters and this is evident with my wife as well. I’m jealous of her rifle shooting skills and she learned to shoot a pistol in a week to pass the CHL class with a near “perfect” score!
Mild strength training can be very advantageous for our female survivalist as well. After an event or disaster there may be many physically demanding obstacles.
My wife was never the “outdoor barbie”. She’s worked indoors writing and developing businesses for as long as I’ve known her. Gradually she has gotten more adventurous and I love that she’ll try hard to do things that interest me.
The only problem was that she had a hard time balancing her need to look good while being physically active. When it came to her earrings she would have to take them out before doing any type of activity, she hardly wore them because they were so irritating anyways. She found an idea and developed a solution…

Females have special needs that men never will. The biggest issue is with personal hygiene. You’ll be glad these preps are in order if there is a disaster that cuts off store supplies.
